İzmir Bornova Anadolu Lisesi Almanca Bölümü’nü ve Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ni bitirdi. Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Kulak Burun Boğaz Ana Bilim Dalı’nda uzmanlık eğitimini 1996’da tamamladı. 1998’de yardımcı doçent, 2000’de doçent, 2006 yılnda profesör oldu.
